INTRODUCTION

Hi readers. This is the official blog for our school, SK Sultan Ibrahim 1 Dengue Patrol 2015 programme. This programme is an initiative from the Sanofi Pasteur Company in cultivating strong civic awareness among our children as well as the communities against dengue disease and we are one of the schools involved in this programme. There will be activities and programmes planned by our schools regarding this porgramme in showing our support towards the dengue awareness.

OBJECTIVES

TO INTENSIFY AWARENESS ON DENGUE AMONG STUDENTS AND THE COMMUNITIES.

• TO INITIATE ACTIVITIES THAT ENCOURAGE THE PREVENTION OF DENGUE AND PROTECTION AGAINST AEDES MOSQUITOES.

                           

THE DENGUE SONG

Dengue fever potent and dangerous

No vaccination, just like a curse

Once infected, one has to suffer

If no immediate treatment, death could be imminent

Just be pro active, coz it’s wiser practice

No stagnant water, no place for it to breed

Keep all surrounding clean and it is healthier

At school at work at anywhere we are

We will have to care

And we will have to care

Aedes unleashes miseries everywhere

Aedes will take on anyone we care

A week it lives as a larva and it will grow

And finally evolves to a full grown mosquito

So take preventive steps preserve your love and life

Destroy all breeding grounds a cause to stay alive

So keep it all in check in order to survive

Living without Aedes is healthier with more cheer
